How online prescription works

  1. Choose a slot and pay

    Complete a short contact form and a questionnaire about medicines and symptoms. Online payment secures your slot.

  2. Doctor consultation

    The doctor reviews your information and may contact you by phone or chat within the booked window.

  3. Medical decision

    Based on the interview the doctor decides whether to issue, modify or decline a prescription, or recommend further assessment. We do not guarantee a prescription.

  4. E-prescription at the pharmacy

    If issued, you receive an e-prescription code (SMS or patient panel) and can collect medication at any pharmacy in Poland.

Pricing

The e-prescription pathway currently costs 99 PLN for an online consultation including assessment of indications for drug therapy. Medicine cost at the pharmacy is separate. The current fee is always shown before payment.

When a doctor may not issue a prescription online

First-time treatment requiring physical examination, measurements or imaging — the doctor may recommend an in-person visit or broader consultation.

Medicines requiring special caution (including some psychotropic or opioid products or P1 verification) may need additional assessment or an in-person visit.

Prescriptions for a third party (e.g. a child) are possible when the doctor obtains sufficient history and identification — without guarantee of issuance.

In life-threatening emergencies do not use telemedicine — call 112 or go to the emergency department.

Frequently asked questions

Is an online prescription the same as after a clinic visit?
Yes — an e-prescription is an electronic document in the P1 system, redeemed at the pharmacy by code or PESEL. The consultation format does not change its legal status.
Can I renew a long-term medication?
Often yes, if the drug is used continuously and the doctor considers continuation safe based on the interview. Changed symptoms or dosing may require further assessment.
Can I order a prescription for my child online?
Yes — you provide the child's and guardian's details. The doctor assesses whether teleconsultation is sufficient or an in-person visit is needed.
How quickly will I receive the e-prescription code?
After a positive decision the document is usually submitted within the booked consultation window. You receive the code by SMS or in the patient panel.
Do you guarantee a prescription?
No. Each decision belongs solely to the consulting doctor. The fee covers the medical service (assessment and advice), not the document itself.
Do I need a patient account?
You can book without an account — email and identification details are enough. An account helps with visit history and document access.
Which identity documents are accepted?
For the e-prescription pathway PESEL or passport is required. A driving licence is not accepted in this pathway.
Can I choose a specific doctor?
The quick e-prescription pathway assigns an available doctor in the chosen slot. Broader doctor choice is available in standard teleconsultation booking.
